Earlier this week, we wrote about the Documentum Platform Roadmap. We, along with many other attendees, mistook the first day’s session as the overall roadmap rather than just the Documentum Platform. This post will describe the overall Roadmap and present our thoughts.
Documentum – EMC World 2015 – Rohit Ghai President EMC Enterprise Content Division – What’s Next
The Keynote is always the real beginning of the Momentum conference. Rohit Ghai is the new leader of the renamed Enterprise Content Division (formerly Information Intelligence Group) that includes Documentum. This post will share our thoughts about the keynote.
Documentum – EMC World 2015 – What’s New, What’s Next: Documentum Platform Roadmap – Patrick Walsh
One of the most heavily attended sessions is always the roadmap presentations. It is a packed room (could have used a bigger room – probably 120 folks with 30 standing) right after lunch and before Rohit’s keynote. This post will present our quick review of the roadmap with some thoughts on how it compares to […]
EMC World 2015 – Monday Morning – What’s new and next with xCP #MMTM15
The first session was very well attended (standing room only – about 90 people), presented by Nick King – xCP Product Manager. While the fact that there were few great alternative sessions may have been a factor, to fill the room early in Vegas is fairly impressive. This post will present impressions and thoughts on Documentum xCP.
Documentum – EMC World 2015 – Momentum – Prepping for the Show
Next week, May 4th through May 8th, EMC World and the smaller component for Documentum (formerly IIG and now ECD ) Momentum will again be in Las Vegas again at the Venetian. Documentum or Alfresco – HPI 2.4 adding support for Folder Browsing
We are excited to announce that our latest HPI code base will include Folder Browsing. This post will discuss why we have added it as well as present a video of the early capabilities.
Documentum Content Server 6.7 – Primary Support Ending April 30, 2015 – What should clients do?
At EMC World 2014, Rick Devenuti shared 13 minutes into his keynote that only 25% of Documentum customers had upgraded to the Content Server 7.x after over 18 months of 7.x being available. While Rick spun this news to the positive, we had been posting since 2013 that many of our clients were hesitant to […]
Documentum and Alfresco – Date and Time Zone Updates for HPI
When working with two clients this past week, the issue of dates and time zone display came up. Dates are stored on the server in the server time zone (UTC, for example) but when the date is displayed through HPI, web browsers display the date according to the local time zone settings set in Windows. In some […]
