One of the major advantages of the Alfresco Enterprise Viewer is the ability to provide for collaborative annotation when internet access is available as well as supporting offline annotations for times when internet access is not available. For this post, we will dive deeper into how the Alfresco Enterprise Viewer allows users that are offline to create annotations for later uploading when back online.
Offline Annotation – Why is it needed?
As everyone is getting adjusted to the new reality of remote work, often times internet access is not available. Whether on a long-drive or WiFi issues while working from home, user would like the ability to continue their document review/annotation process in order to make review/approval deadlines. For these remote workers, the Alfresco Enterprise Viewer provides an option to download the document with annotations and continue to add annotations while working offline.
