FileNet – How to retire in weeks, not months – Alfresco Webinar May 29

You are here: Home / Alfresco / FileNet – How to retire in weeks, not months – Alfresco Webinar May 29

May 21, 2019

Tony Parzgnat, the OpenMigrate Senior Product Manager, will be conducting a webinar with Alfresco May 29th on an innovative approach to retire FileNet.

When IBM dropped their support for FileNet Content Manager 5.2 on April 30th, many customers were left stranded with an old, unsupported version that may have existed for decades storing millions, and perhaps billions, of their documents and still paying maintenance. FileNet Image Services customers face a similar problem as clients are stuck with an outdated system that hasn’t seen innovation for more than a decade now.

Technology Services Group (TSG) has developed an innovative solution that includes a rolling migration combined with offline access methods to enables users to stop running FileNet very quickly compared to a full “big bang” migration approach.

Join us on May 29th were Tony will present

  • On overview of OpenMigrate and different migration options
  • Specific details to consider when migrating from FileNet to Alfresco including migration to Amazon Web Services
  • A unique rolling migration approach that allows FileNet to be retired even before all of the content has been migrated.
