To go along with the release of High Performance Interface (HPI) 1.1.5, TSG is pleased to announce HPI Search for the upcoming Alfresco 3.2 release. Most ECM users are consumers of the information stored in the repository, and consumers need a quick and efficient way to retrieve the documents they are searching for. One complaint heard far too often from consumers is that searching within most ECM systems can be complicated and inefficient. HPI for Alfresco’s simple, yet highly intuitive interface provides Alfresco consumers with a powerful tool to conduct all their searching needs.
A unique feature of HPI Search for Alfresco is its utilization of Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS). These services, provided by Alfresco, greatly enhance the platform to allow easier integration with third party applications while enforcing the standards of the repository.
HPI Search for Alfresco is available for download now via the download page. For a demonstration on installing HPI, HPI Admin and OpenContent and configuring the search interface via the HPI Admin tool, please refer to the TSGRP Learning Zone for more information.
TSG will be conducting a webinar in conjunction with Alfresco to showcase HPI Search for Alfresco on September 1, 2009.

Thanks for contributing such a useful tool to the open source community. It’s especially exciting to see a CMIS-based application. I’m looking forward to downloading it and giving it a try.
Keep up the good work!
