At Technology Services Group, work-life balance is a core part of our culture. We believe that fostering friendships and strong connections among our employees creates an enjoyable and satisfying work environment.
work life balance
We’ve taken the typical consulting model and turned it on its head!
consultant satisfaction
- Managed Travel - we work with our clients to minimize travel – it’s in their best interest too. We minimize their cost and maximize our productivity.
- Work Smart, Not Long – we don’t believe in overtime for overtime’s sake; we teach our consultants to work smarter, not longer.
- Project Based work – we don’t do staff augmentation or body-shopping – it’s not conducive to career development.
career development
- Mentor Program – you are assigned an experienced consultant as your mentor as soon as you start with TSG.
- Performance Reviews – we conduct performance reviews on a timely basis with a focus on coaching and guiding you in your career growth.
skill development
- Focus on Technology – our focus on technology allows you to develop very deep technical skills in many areas.
- On-going Training – in addition to the new hire training program, we have many on-going training classes that we deliver throughout your career.
- Lunch N Learns – we host knowledge-sharing lunch n learns for our consultants to learn what other folks are doing or information about the latest technologies.
employee communication
- Company Meetings – we host quarterly company meetings to communicate and to have fun together.
- TSG.Today – we send out a quarterly newsletter to all of our consultants to keep them up to date on projects, technology tips, TSG news and upcoming events.
- TSG Wiki – we use our TSG Wiki to collaborate and share knowledge on many topics from newly acquired technical skills to tips and techniques to the weekend volleyball schedule.
a fun & exciting place to be
At TSG, we believe that a well-rounded consultant with a balanced life is happier and more productive. We also believe that building relationships and camaraderie among our consultants makes for stronger teams. We sponsor many activities to both thank and reward our employees for a job well done and to promote friendship and teamwork.
annual ski trip
A ski trip to the mountains is a favorite TSG event. Past destinations have included Breckenridge and Copper Mountain in Colorado. It is a fantastic opportunity to get to know everyone better in a fun setting away from the office. No matter what your skiing ability is, you are guaranteed to have a fun time!

holiday & anniversary parties
Each year, we ring in the holiday season with a dinner dance downtown. It’s a wonderful opportunity to get to know our friends' spouses and significant others. We treat our folks to a fun evening of dinner, dancing and great memories.
2006 was a very special year for TSG. We celebrated our 10-year anniversary with an all out bash at Spiaggia! We invited TSG Alumni from years past and danced until all hours of the night!! We even took a TSG Then and Now picture with our Alumni guests . . . as you can see – it’s been an amazing journey!

annual summer hooky day
For our annual summer hooky day, we’ve traditionally gone to ball games (whether it’s Cubs or Sox can be a heated debate among our folks) or taken a trip out to Arlington Park for a day at the races.
company meetings
Some of our favorite post-meeting activities have included a Boat Cruise on Lake Michigan, Bowling at 10-Pin, and Whirly Ball.
sponsored sports leagues
We sponsor several sports leagues over the year to encourage team-building outside of work. We’ve sponsored team sports such as volley-ball, basketball and softball.

weekly foosball tournaments
One of the favorite after-work activities is our weekly . . . okay daily . . . . foosball tournaments. We have quite a talented crew here. Rumor has it we are going to take the team national next year.
